Strength in Unity … it’s not just our motto!

It’s been over a year since our club volunteers have been able to get together for a proper face-to-face football meeting.

During that time, we’ve been using Microsoft Teams to keep into touch and it’s certainly helped the club, but it’s just not the same as meeting in person!

So, with the easing of government restrictions, the club took the opportunity to invite our coaches to get together in person for a socially distanced club meeting.

We had a good attendance of coaches from across our age groups and it was great to see everyone chatting, enjoying themselves and sharing their own experiences.

Despite it being a challenging year for grassroots football, our coaches were amazingly positive and everyone contributed to an enjoyable and productive meeting. Plans were finalised for the end of this season and we discussed some exciting new things coming to the club next season.  Watch out for more news coming soon.

One of the main themes that kept coming up in meeting was the fantastic support that we have received from our team’s parents.   Our coaches have really appreciated that you have stood by the club and been positive, patient and supportive throughout.  Thank you on behalf of all of our brilliant club volunteers.

Our club motto is ‘Strength in Unity’ and that’s exactly what we’ve achieved!  The Oxford Grove family has stood together in difficult times and we honestly couldn’t be any prouder of you all!

Stay safe, let’s enjoy the last few weeks of this campaign and look to a fresh start with the new 2021/22 season starting in September.
